The Energy Team is a central team within the Property division of Royal Mail Group, responsible for delivering energy management support across a property portfolio of approximately 1,800 buildings. Royal Mail aims to achieve net zero carbon by 2040 with a 25% water reduction target by 2030.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Junior BEMS (Buildings Energy Management System) Energy Manager to support the BEMS Manager in identifying ways to improve energy efficiency, environmental monitoring, and carbon emissions across Royal Mail's property portfolio.

Responsibilities:

1. Act as the first line of support, working with the Facilities Management Helpdesk and FM Engineering colleagues to identify, review data, and resolve BEMS and HVAC faults.
2. Focus on remote analytics (e.g., monitoring and targeting, measurement and verification) and optimization of building energy management systems (BEMS).
3. Collaborate with key stakeholders and the supply chain to help deliver energy savings.

About You:

You need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

1. Experience in the energy, low-carbon, or related industry.
2. Good understanding of principles of energy management, building services, and controls (BEMS, Trend).
3. Experience in building energy management systems (BEMS) installation, maintenance, operation, and optimization.
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team with attention to detail.
5. Dynamic and able to adapt and deliver under pressure with limited information.
