Job summary

Mace is seeking a Project Controller to join our energy sector delivery in the UK. You will deliver project controls on major projects and programmes, with reporting, earned value management, cost and schedule variance, and estimates at completion, while supporting day‑to‑day PMO functions.

You will work closely with client and contractor teams to ensure safe, compliant delivery and to drive project controls frameworks, data quality, and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Membership in RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE or equivalent demonstrated professional or personal development.
• Degree qualified with three years’ relevant experience in linear infrastructure delivery.
• Infrastructure project and programme controls delivery expertise.
• Proven commercial acumen and senior stakeholder management.
• Sustainability and carbon awareness.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a project controls service, including reporting, earned value management, cost and schedule variance, estimates at completion and critical path analysis on major projects.
• Manage safe, high‑quality and compliant delivery while promoting inclusion and wellbeing.
• Deliver PMO and project controls frameworks, supporting best‑in‑class service and stakeholder engagement.
• Support teams across cost, schedule, risk and reporting, contributing to strategic improvement.
• Drive knowledge‑sharing and support resourcing and recruitment for the commission.
