Job summary

Mace is seeking a Cost Engineer to drive best-in-class PMO and project controls, delivering robust cost management across PMO or delivery teams. The role coordinates stakeholders and ensures compliant operations, with ad hoc travel across the UK.

The successful candidate will monitor costs, forecast and report with strong contract management, building trusted client and partner relationships while working in a dynamic construction or consultancy environment.

Qualifications

• Professional qualification through a recognised body (e.g. APM, AACE) in cost management or project controls.
• Proven experience in project management or project controls within construction or consultancy.
• Experience in a regulated infrastructure sector.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate cost monitoring, forecasting and reporting.
• Support full budget, scope, change control and earned value analysis.
• Coordinate with scheduling, commercial, construction and finance teams.
• Assure monthly cost data and variance analysis.
• Drive forecast and budget accuracy.
• Produce clear cost reports.
• Apply strong cost and contract management.
• Build effective client and partner relationships.
