Job summary

Mace is seeking a Cost Engineer to join our project controls team. The role is based anywhere in the UK with ad hoc travel, and we welcome flexible, part‑time or hybrid options where appropriate.

You’ll deliver cost monitoring, forecasting and reporting, support budget, scope, change control and earned value analysis, and coordinate with scheduling, commercial, construction and finance teams to ensure robust cost data and successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Qualified through a recognised body (APM, AACE, Cost Engineering etc).
• Experience in project management or project controls in construction or consultancy.
• Experience in a regulated infrastructure sector.

Responsibilities

• Delivering accurate cost monitoring, forecasting and reporting.
• Supporting full budget, scope, change control and earned value analysis.
• Coordinating with scheduling, commercial, construction and finance teams.
• Assuring monthly cost data and variance analysis.
• Driving forecast and budget accuracy.
• Producing clear cost reports.
• Applying strong cost and contract management.
• Building effective client and partner relationships.
