Job summary

Latton Green Primary Academy invites applications for an EYFS Learning Support Assistant. The role supports children’s learning, wellbeing and development across indoor and outdoor environments, working alongside the class teacher and EYFS team.

The successful candidate will model high-quality language, encourage communication, and assist with early reading, writing and maths. A Level 3 qualification or progress toward it is required, with a strong commitment to safeguarding and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification, or currently working towards achieving this.
• Experience of working with young children, ideally within an Early Years setting.
• Good understanding of how young children learn and develop.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build warm, positive and professional relationships with children.
• Ability to support children's communication, language and early literacy development.
• Ability to support children with a range of needs, including working with teachers and professionals.
• Ability to use ICT and willingness to learn new skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Positive, flexible and proactive approach to teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Support children’s learning in whole-class, small-group and individual activities.
• Help create and maintain an engaging learning environment indoors and outdoors.
