Job summary

Junior Adventures Group in Watford is seeking enthusiastic Casual Breakfast & After School Playworkers/Activity Leaders to join our casual bank team. The role offers flexible childcare work with the potential for more permanent hours, with term-time sessions up to 22.5 hours per week and a pay rate of up to £12.71 per hour.

You’ll plan and deliver fun activities, supervise children, ensure safety, and help with refreshments and setup.

Qualifications

• Experience in childcare, teaching, coaching, youth work or similar is a bonus.
• Confidence communicating with children and adults.
• Enthusiastic, creative and reliable with a proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver fun activities including sports, games, arts & crafts and structured play.
• Create an inclusive environment where every child feels welcome and involved.
• Supervise children and ensure they are safe, happy and having fun.
• Prepare and provide refreshments.
• Set up and pack away play spaces and equipment.
• Follow safeguarding, health & safety and first aid procedures.
• Complete sign-in/out processes and relevant records.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, schools and your team.
• Bring energy, enthusiasm and plenty of fun to every session.
