Job summary

Junior Adventures Group in Watford is seeking casual Playworkers/Activity Leaders to join our bank team. You’ll plan and deliver activities, supervise children and help keep sessions safe and fun. This is a flexible, term-time role with potential for more hours.

You don’t need to be a childcare expert; we value energy, creativity and a positive attitude. DBS checks apply and two references are requested. This position offers casual hours with opportunities to move into regular, permanent hours

Qualifications

• Experience in childcare, teaching, coaching, youth work or similar is a bonus.
• Excellent communication with children and adults.
• Reliable, enthusiastic and flexible attitude.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver fun activities including sports, games, arts & crafts and structured play.
• Supervise children to ensure safety and wellbeing.
• Prepare and provide refreshments.
• Set up and pack away play spaces and equipment.
• Follow safeguarding and health & safety procedures.
• Complete sign-in/out processes and keep relevant records.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, schools and your team.
• Bring energy, enthusiasm and fun to every session.
