Job summary

United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust (ULHT) is seeking a Ward Receptionist for the Endoscopy unit in Lincoln. Band 2, part-time 22.5 hours a week, permanent contract, with standard NHS remuneration and duties including patient reception and appointment coordination.

The role requires excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work under pressure, and confidentiality in handling patient information. Training will be provided for unit-specific duties and booking systems.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English
• NVQ2 or equivalent in relevant subject, i.e. customer care skills
• PAS Trained
• Ability to prioritise workload
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Awareness and Knowledge of the dignity in care agenda
• Ability to evidence/demonstrate key values and behaviours in line with the Trust framework
• Understanding of booking systems and maintaining diaries
• Interest in Endoscopy

Responsibilities

• Meet and greet patients on arrival and ensure paperwork is prepared for appointments
• Provide professional, confidential administrative support to the Endoscopy Unit
• Book new and follow-up appointments for Urology patients (training will be given)
• Occasionally travel Trust-wide to cover other sites
