Job summary

George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a Band 2 Booking Clerk for the Endoscopy Unit. The role is permanent and full-time with 37.5 hours per week (six days, Monday to Saturday) and a salary of £25,272 per annum. The post requires excellent booking and data-entry skills, and familiarity with Lorenzo or similar systems.

Closing date 15 October 2026. Applicants should be able to provide a courteous patient experience, coordinate lists and maintain waiting lists, while supporting the Team

Qualifications

• Experience handling patient bookings and scheduling
• Proficient data entry and keyboard skills (RSA II or equivalent)
• Comfort with hospital information systems and patient privacy requirements

Responsibilities

• Provide a smooth and efficient booking service within the Endoscopy Unit
• Act as first point of contact for patients scheduling appointments and maintaining a friendly, professional image
