Job summary

Ward Receptionist at Louth Hospital within the Endoscopy Unit is a permanent, 30-hour post. You will welcome patients, prepare paperwork, and book appointments across Endoscopy and Urology, with training provided.

The role requires excellent interpersonal and written communication, ability to work under pressure, and flexibility within 08:00–18:00 hours. The Trust operates a pro rata salary of £25,272 per annum.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English or equivalent.
• NVQ2 or equivalent in relevant subject, e.g. customer care.
• PAS Trained.
• Able to prioritise workload and manage diaries.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Understanding of dignity in care principles.
• Ability to demonstrate Trust values and behaviours.
• Experience with booking systems and diary maintenance.
• Interest in Endoscopy.

Responsibilities

• Meet and greet patients on arrival and prepare paperwork for appointments.
• Provide professional, confidential administrative support to the Endoscopy Unit.
• Book new and follow-up appointments for Urology patients; training will be provided.
• Travel to other sites when required.
