Job summary

North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Clinical Fellow in Endoscopy to join The University Hospital of North Tees, with cross-site work at Hartlepool. The post is full time, fixed term for 12 months, with a plan to negotiate remaining 5 sessions.

The role includes endoscopy-related research, teaching and ERCP/EUS training, and opportunities for further qualifications, with support for professional development and governance participation.

Qualifications

• GMC registration with licence to practice.
• Certificate in speciality exams in Gastroenterology.
• Evidence of a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Gastroenterology/Endoscopy at registrar level.
• JAG certification for OGD and colonoscopy.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate remaining 5 sessions with options including endoscopy research.
• Engage in endoscopy teaching and research with regional groups.
• Support endoscopy training within the department and education.
• Cover for colleagues' leave and participate in governance.
• Undertake continuing professional development and other duties as required.
