Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Consultant Gastroenterologist on a full-time or part-time basis to support expansion in the Gastroenterology specialty across Northumbria. The post involves managing emergency gastroenterology admissions, emergency Endoscopy (ERCP/EUS) and ward duties, with a mix of SPA time for education and clinical supervision.

• Medical qualification in Gastroenterology with GMC registration (implied).
• Interest in general gastroenterology with sub-specialty possibilities in Liver Medicine/Hepatology, Nutrition and Therapeutic Endoscopy.

Responsabilidades

• Deal with emergency gastroenterology admissions and perform emergency Upper GI endoscopy.
• Cover the Gastroenterology Ward and participate in on-call duties.
• Engage in education, teaching and clinical research.
• Elective outpatient work at affiliated hospitals and cross-site coverage.
