Job summary

Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (NUH) invites applications for a Senior Clinical Fellow in Gastroenterology based at the QMC site in Nottingham. This fixed-term maternity cover post is 12 months, full-time 40 hours per week, with on-call duties and salary of £67,325 per year plus out-of-hours supplements.

The role balances inpatient and outpatient work, with blocks of gastroenterology sessions, involvement in GIM on-call rota, and opportunities for research and service development

Qualifications

• GMC registration and licence to practise in the UK are required.
• Minimum 3 years of clinical medicine experience.
• NHS experience and supervising juniors are essential.
• Evidence of Audit and Quality Improvement projects is desirable.
• Experience of teaching and training is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-hours middle-grade support to inpatient gastroenterology.
• Deliver supervised outpatient gastroenterology activity.
• Deliver independent outpatient endoscopy activity where skilled.
• Contribute to the GIM on-call rota.
• Support research and service development activities within outpatient weeks.
