Job summary

• Provide support to the multi-disciplinary team to deliver safe and responsive, high quality Endoscopic procedures for all adult patients attending as both out and in patients in a caring and effective well led unit.
• Assist in meeting nursing/clinical needs of all patients attending the endoscopy unit, escalating concerns as required.
• Communicate effectively with all members of the multi-disciplinary care team.
• Liaise with relevant agencies to promote seamless care.
• Provide assistance and support to colleagues as part of the multi-disciplinary team.
• Participate in initiation of new ideas and methods to improve care for endoscopy patients and their carers and relatives.
• Promote health education within the unit.
• Take responsibility for personal development and education and the development of a personal professional profile.
• Abide by legal requirements, statutory rules and local policies in the execution of duties.

Job description

To provide support to the multi-disciplinary team to deliver safe and responsive , high quality Endoscopic procedures for all adult patients attending as both out and in patients in a caring and effective well led unit , following assessment and planning of requirements by a registerednurse, and providing support by undertaking non-nursing and ancillary duties, Assist in creating a physical and psychological environment conducive to the provision of high quality care for all patients attending the endoscopy department
