Qualifications

  • Registration as a Nurse with a Diploma or Advanced Diploma of Higher Education in Nursing (or equivalent).
  • Experience working effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

  • The ability to remain calm, organised, and effective in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead teams of Registered Nurses and Healthcare Support Workers, providing clinical guidance and escalating concerns when appropriate.
  • Ensure endoscopy services are delivered to the highest standards of patient safety and care.
  • Complete and support competency assessments.
  • Maintain effective communication with patients, relatives, and the multidisciplinary team.
  • Take ownership of all required statutory and mandatory training requirements.

North Bristol Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC), Patchway - Free Parking onsite!

We are looking for a Senior Registered Nurse to join our Endoscopy team at our North Bristol CDC , a state-of-the-art facility that opened last year and has quickly become our busiest site, operating four Endoscopy rooms and delivering exceptional patient care.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Endoscopy Nurse who is ready to take the next step in their career. Previous experience as a Senior Nurse is not essential; however, you must have experience working as a Nurse in Charge within Endoscopy and hold the relevant competencies. Comprehensive support and mentorship will be provided throughout your transition into the role, alongside guidance from our experienced Senior Nursing team.

About the Role

This is a full-time position , working four days per week between 8:00am and 6:00pm . Flexibility is required across Monday to Sunday to support the needs of the service.

The role is primarily based at North Bristol CDC . As part of your development and ongoing support, you may also have opportunities to work across our other sites. Bristol is home to our training academy , offering excellent opportunities for professional development, career progression, and further training.

Note that this payment is not applicable to clinical staff working within the Echocardiography division, or Diabetic Eye Screening. The Weekend Payment does not apply to those on a flexible working agreement and part time workers that have requested to work weekend hours/days as part of their working agreement. The Weekend Payment also doesn’t apply to those who are working remotely or carrying out administrative work from home.
