Job summary

Pertemps Hillingdon Council is seeking a temporary Procurement Officer based in Cowley. Qualifications

• Strong tender documentation skills and ability to prepare specifications, pricing schedules and award reports.
• Experience delivering end-to-end procurement exercises in public sector or local authority.
• Understanding of procurement legislation and Contract Procedure Rules.
• Experience using procurement systems such as Oracle or Proactis is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement exercises from planning through to tender and contract award.
• Prepare tender documentation, specifications, pricing schedules and award reports.
• Conduct market research and spend analysis to identify savings opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with Procurement Act 2023 and internal governance policies.
• Publish procurement notices and engage with stakeholders and suppliers.
