Job summary

P+S Recruitment is assisting in the recruitment of a Supply Chain Coordinator for a position based in Great Yarmouth. The role focuses on end-to-end procurement, PO management, supplier coordination and stock control across branches.

You'll maintain records in Oracle and PIM systems while supporting Sales and Operations to minimise disruptions and keep products available. Strong organisation and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, stock control or operational coordination.
• Experience working with ERP systems (ideally OGL).
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Self‑motivated and highly organised, able to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and proactive, team player with flexible approach.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Experience with supplier management and expediting activities is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including creating, maintaining and reviewing purchase orders.
• Monitor and manage the purchase order book, ensuring orders are placed and delivered in line with business requirements.
• Expedite outstanding orders by working with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and accurate information.
• Track, trace and communicate order progress, delivery schedules and supplier updates to stakeholders.
• Monitor stock levels across branches to maintain product availability.
• Identify and manage stock shortages, excess inventory and replenishment needs.
• Coordinate stock transfers between branches and reduce transfer frequency/volume.
• Work with suppliers to resolve account issues and minimise disruption to operations.
• Collaborate with Sales to address shortages, MOV and MOQ challenges and implement solutions.
• Maintain certificates of conformity and audit trails; keep records up to date.
• Coordinate and manage branch stock takes from planning to reconciliation.
• Review daily workload, prioritise tasks and ensure critical activities are completed.
• Serve as communication link between Sales, Purchasing, Warehousing and Suppliers.
• Maintain procurement, inventory and supplier records within Oracle and PIM systems.
