Mai Sushi in Cheshire Oaks, Ellesmere Port, is recruiting a full-time Chef Manager to lead our kitchen team. You will oversee shifts starting as early as 6:00am, maintain high standards of food safety, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, sustainable meals.

You will train staff, uphold brand standards, and manage performance while working in a fast-paced environment. Competitive hourly pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Food Safety certificate required or desirable
• HACCP knowledge or training
• Allergens and COSHH awareness helpful

Responsibilities

• Lead the kitchen team and ensure high standards of cleanliness and food safety
• Maintain brand standards and comply with company policies
• Plan and prepare fresh ingredients including meat and raw fish
• Be an early riser with shifts starting at 6:00am when required
• Train and develop staff to build confidence and capability

Mai Sushi isrecruiting afull-time (35 hours) Chef Managerto come and lead our team inMaiSushi - Cheshire Oaks, Stanney Woods Avenue, Ellesmere Port, CH65 9GZ

• Experience in leading people, who can build confidence and capability in your team enabling them to succeed
• Ready to work in a fast-paced environment whilst always leading by example
• Pride in your work, constantly looking for ways to improve and continually learning
• A good understanding of Food Safety & Health and Safety regulations, ability to follow brand standards and comply with company policies.
• Reliable transportation for your commute to work early in the morning

And can:

• Be accountable for the Kiosk and the team, maintaining audit standards for food and health & safety compliance while meeting EHO expectations
• Ensuring the team maintains a high standard of cleanliness and food safety on site to maintain a safe environment for our customers, our clients and ourselves
• Highly organised, with a focus on forward planning
• Prepare fresh ingredients by hand, including meat and raw fish products each shift
• Accurately labelling products ensuring lawful compliance around food safety and allergen compliance each shift.
• Be a skilled multitasker
• An early riser as shifts can start at 6:00am some days
• Learn new skills or improve skills already mastered

Qualifications

Level 2 Food Safety certificate, HACCP, Allergens and COSHH are Desirable although not essential as full training will be provided.
