Job summary

Hft is seeking a Support Worker to empower learning disabled adults to live life their way. You will support individuals in their homes and in the community, helping them access activities, health appointments, and daily routines with dignity and respect.

This role focuses on independence, choice, and person-centered care within a warm, inclusive team. The position requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and sleep-in shifts, with opportunities for growth and training.

Qualifications

• Experience in social care is welcome but not essential; your attitude and values matter most.
• Strong communication skills help build trust with people you support.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to different needs and routines.

Responsibilities

• Empower individuals to make choices and live as independently as possible.
• Encourage participation in social, leisure, work, and community activities.
• Promote health, safety, and wellbeing while respecting personal decisions.
• Support attendance at health appointments and medication management.
• Build independence and confidence through daily activities.
• Assist with personal care when needed and maintain privacy and dignity.
• Accurately keep records and follow safeguarding practices.
