Qualifications

• Patience, respect for people’s choices and independence.
• Positive, encouraging approach and strong communication.
• Willingness to learn and work towards a Health and Social Care qualification.
• Confidence providing personal support when needed.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, waking and sleep-in shifts.
• Experience in social care welcome but not essential; attitude matters.
• A driving licence is required to commute to the service.

Responsibilities

• Enable people to make their own choices and live life that feels right.
• Encourage participation in social, leisure, work, and community activities.
• Promote health, safety, and wellbeing while respecting decisions.
• Support attendance at health appointments and manage medications confidently.
