Job summary

Learn Academies Trust is seeking a Learning Support Assistant at All Saints Church of England Primary School in Wigston to support teaching and learning under a teacher's supervision.

The role is part-time, permanent, Grade 5, 30 hours per week across 39 weeks (38 term time + 1 holiday week), with a 8.45am to 3.15pm pattern. The salary is £17,475 actual, and candidates should have prior experience with children, good literacy and numeracy, and a commitment to safeguarding.

Qualifications

• NVQ 2 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
• Commitment to safeguarding and DBS checks.
• Ability to support learning activities 1:1 and in small groups.
• Willingness to contribute to planning and learning activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the teacher for planned whole class activities.
• Work under supervision to carry out learning activities with individuals or small groups.
• Help prepare, monitor and maintain a safe and secure learning environment.
• Observe and feedback to the teacher on pupil performance and behaviour.
• Support development of pupils' numeracy and literacy across the curriculum.
• Utilise ICT resources to support pupils' learning.
