Job summary

St Anne’s Church Academy is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join the SEND team and support pupils to engage confidently and independently in their learning. The role involves delivering planned classroom support, preparing resources, and maintaining accurate records while liaising with teachers, parents and carers.

The successful candidate will have SEN experience, the ability to work independently, and a strong commitment to safeguarding, with GCSEs in Maths and English at grade 4 or

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with SEN needs.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Confident delivering pre-planned lessons to small groups.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom support for pupils, planned and supervised by teachers.
• Assist with resource preparation, display and care and support of pupils including health care.
• Keep records of work to provide feedback and general support.
• Record student progress and liaise with colleagues, parents and third parties when necessary.
