Job summary

Learn Academies Trust is hiring a part-time Learning Support Assistant to support teaching and learning at Hope Hamilton CofE Primary School in Leicester. The role covers 30 hours across 39 weeks with a 38 term-time week and 1 week in holidays. Salary is £17,749 per year.

Qualifications

• NVQ 2 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
• DBS checks and safeguarding requirements will be carried out.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the teacher in planned whole-class activities.
• Work under supervision to carry out planned learning activities with individual pupils or small groups.
• Help maintain a safe and secure learning environment in line with lesson plans.
• Observe pupil performance and feed back to the teacher on engagement and achievement.
• Support pupils to improve numeracy and literacy through focused activities and across the curriculum.
• Prepare and utilise ICT resources to support pupils’ learning.
