Job summary

You will supervise midday meals, support behaviour management, and contribute to a safe, language-rich atmosphere.

• Experience supporting children's learning in educational settings.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
• Understanding of inclusive practice and needs-based support.
• Ability to support teaching under direction of a class teacher.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to undertake midday supervision duties.
• Ability to manage classroom resources and learning environments.
• Basic first aid awareness or willingness to train.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in assessing pupil progress and feedback.
• Monitor behaviour using positive strategies in line with school policy.
• Undertake midday meals supervision and supervise pupils during breaks.
• Deal with minor injuries and act as first aid supervisor as required.
• Prepare, manage and maintain classroom resources and displays.
• Encourage healthy lifestyles and develop language and communication skills.
• Implement structured interventions alongside the teacher and Inclusion Manager.
• Liaise with Senior Leadership Team and external agencies as needed.
• Supervise school activities and accompany pupils on trips.
