Compassionate Care is recruiting a part-time Support Worker to assist a young lady withLearning Disabilities and health needs. You will help with daily tasks, develop life skills, and support attendance at health appointments.

The role requires a driver license and own car, strong communication, empathy, and the ability to engage in activities at home and in the community to promote independence.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting individuals with Learning Disabilities is ESSENTIAL
• Driver's licence and access to a car
• Empathy and good common sense
• Excellent communication skills and understanding of behaviours of concern
• Good organisational skills and ability to think outside the box
• Will be a driver and have access to your own car
• Experience of Positive Behaviour Support is desirable
• Level 2 qualification in Health & Social Care or willing to work towards

Responsibilities

• Support our client, a young lady with Learning Disabilities and health needs.
• Develop the client’s life skills and personal interests.
• Attend health appointments and support with medications.
• Arrange and support structured activities at home and in the community.
• Support the client in developing skills and promoting independence.
• Collaborate with family and professionals to identify goals and document progress.
