Job summary

Hft is seeking a Support Worker to empower learning disabled adults to live life their way. You will encourage independence, support daily living tasks, and promote participation in activities that bring connection and confidence.

The role requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, waking and sleep-in shifts; DBS and background checks are part of the process to ensure safety and safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Patience, supportiveness and respect for people’s choices.
• Positive, encouraging approach that celebrates achievement.
• Strong communication skills to build trusting relationships.
• Willingness to learn and pursue Health and Social Care qualifications.
• Confidence providing personal support when needed.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, waking and sleep-in shifts.
• Social care experience is welcome but not essential; attitude matters most.
