Job summary

Hft in the United Kingdom is seeking a Support Worker to empower learning disabled adults to live life their way. You’ll support daily activities, encourage participation in social and community life, promote health and wellbeing, and keep records with safeguarding in mind.

You’ll join a warm, inclusive team that values wellbeing, professional development, and flexible shift patterns including evenings and weekends to suit social care needs.

Qualifications

• Patience and empathy to support adults with learning disabilities.
• Strong communication to build trusting relationships.
• Willingness to learn and work towards qualifications in Health and Social Care.

Responsibilities

• Empower independence and support daily living activities.
• Encourage participation in social, leisure, work and community activities.
• Promote health, safety and wellbeing while respecting individuals’ choices and rights.
• Support people to attend health appointments and manage medication confidently.
• Maintain accurate records and follow safeguarding practices.
