Job summary

Hft in the United Kingdom is seeking a Support Worker to empower learning disabled adults to live life their way. You’ll support people to be independent, participate in activities, and manage daily life with dignity.

You’ll work as part of a warm, inclusive team, with DBS checks, training, and options for flexible hours including evenings and weekends. No prior social care experience required, just the right attitude and values.

Qualifications

• Patient, supportive and respectful of people’s choices.
• Willing to learn and gain a Health and Social Care qualification.
• Flexible to work evenings, weekends and sleep-in shifts.

Responsibilities

• Empower independence, choice and dignity for adults with learning disabilities.
• Encourage participation in social, leisure, work and community activities.
• Promote health, safety and wellbeing while respecting decisions.
• Support attendance at health appointments and medication management.
• Build independence and new skills, boosting self-belief.
• Provide personal care when needed and support daily life.
• Keep accurate records and follow safeguarding practices.
