Job summary

Riverside Group in Carlisle is seeking a Support Worker to provide tailored support to customers in our housing services, connecting them with employability coaches, helping manage money, sign up for benefits, or move to a permanent home.

You'll keep clear records, work in a resilient, empathetic, team-focused way, and adapt to a rolling rota including weekends. The role combines frontline support with admin tasks and safeguarding responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with vulnerable people ideally with coaching skills.
• Experience of delivering structured support and risk management.
• Be a team player with a caring and empathetic nature and a resilient, can-do attitude.
• Understanding of supporting vulnerable people, maybe with lived experience.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate referrals and assess potential new customers.
• Contribute to housing management through tenancy-related support and income collection.
• Support customers to maintain a safe environment and report concerns.
• Carry out day-to-day administration and keep accurate records.
• Develop local partnerships to provide holistic support and signpost services.
