Job summary

Cambridgeshire County Council is seeking a Support Worker to assist adults with disabilities in March and surrounding areas. You will provide practical support, help with personal care, household tasks, and participate in activities to promote independence.

The role includes medication administration, updating records, and working to a 4-week rota. Starting pay is £13.45 per hour with enhanced weekend hours and opportunities for training and career development in a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Proficient level of written and spoken English for case recording and communication.
• Awareness and understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion.
• Good working knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act and assessments of capacity.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical support and assist with personal care where needed.
• Carry out cleaning, shopping and help service users access community activities.
• Administer medications and update documents such as support plans and risk assessments.
• Work to a 4-week rota, including weekends/Bank Holidays, with potential sleep-ins.
• Participate in comprehensive training and career development opportunities.
