Cambridgeshire County Council is seeking a Support Worker to assist adults with disabilities in March and surrounding areas. You will provide practical support, help with personal care, household tasks, and participate in activities to promote independence.

Alder Close Respite is based in the town of March and supports adults with a learning disability and/or autism. You will report to the Lead Support worker and work in a small team to provide practical support, you will build on service users` existing skills and abilities whilst respecting their individual needs and choices. This includes supporting with personal care where needed, cleaning, shopping, and accessing community activities and opportunities. The role will also involve administration of medication. You will be using IT to update documents such as support plans and risk assessments. The shifts are on a 4-week rota which could be subject to change to meet service need. These will be during the week, at weekends or Bank Holidays (between 7am- 10pm). Additional enhancements are paid for weekends and Bank Holidays. You will be required to work two weekend shifts, twice a month and complete sleep ins. The starting pay for the posts is £13.45 per hour (approx. £20.17 Saturday hours - £23.94 Sunday hours).
