Job summary

Oxley Woodhouse, a specialist residential service run by Cygnet Health Care, is hiring a Support Worker. The role is full time (42 hours) on a two-week rolling rota with 12-hour day shifts and alternate weekends.

You will provide person-centred support, help residents access work, college, hobbies and holidays, and assist with daily tasks to build independence, while safeguarding and maintaining a clean, safe environment.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS check required.

Responsibilities

• Give physical, emotional and practical support in a person-centred way.
• Learn each person's specific needs and support them in the most appropriate way.
• Support people to access the community, including work, college, hobbies, days out and holidays.
• Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for everyone in the service.
• Support people to grow and learn through everyday tasks such as cooking and cleaning.
• Assist with and record medical and welfare needs.
• Safeguard the people in the service.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment.
