Job summary

North Tyneside Council is looking for a compassionate Shared Lives Co-ordinator to support Shared Lives carers and the people they support across North Tyneside. You will manage a caseload, conduct monitoring and wellbeing visits, and review arrangements to keep people safe, positive and person-centred.

The role requires experience with vulnerable adults, a Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification (or equivalent), knowledge of safeguarding and the Mental Capacity Act, and a valid driving

Qualifications

• Experience supporting vulnerable adults.
• Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification or equivalent.
• Good understanding of adult safeguarding and the Mental Capacity Act.

Responsibilities

• Support Shared Lives carers and the people they support.
• Manage a caseload and carry out monitoring and wellbeing visits.
• Review Shared Lives arrangements to keep people safe and person-centred.
• Recruit and assess new carers and match people to carers.
• Work with individuals, families and professionals to achieve outcomes.
