Job summary

Aspire People are recruiting a Personal Care Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs in Rochdale. You will work across primary and secondary ages, providing personal care and learning support.

The role is full-time, five days per week, ASAP start. You will collaborate with teachers and SEN staff to help pupils access learning, develop independence and wellbeing while upholding safeguarding and dignity.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEN in a school setting.
• Ability to provide personal care with dignity and respect.
• Experience supporting pupils with autism and complex needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to pupils in a compassionate, dignified manner.
• Support pupils with complex needs throughout the school day.
• Assist pupils with autism and other SEN needs.
• Support pupils who may display challenging behaviour.
• Help pupils access learning and participate in activities.
• Follow individual care plans and safeguarding procedures.
