Job summary

Engage Education Ltd. is seeking a Positive Behaviour Mentor for a Hastings school. You will support vulnerable pupils across KS2–KS4, using restorative approaches to manage behaviour and promote emotional regulation.

You will work with teachers, therapists and support staff to foster trust and engagement in a nurturing environment. The role features full-time hours (8:15–15:30, Mon–Fri) and requires empathy, resilience and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• Outgoing and emotionally resilient demeanor.
• Experience with SEMH, trauma or attachment needs is desirable, with full training provided.
• Holds GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils from Key Stage 2 to Key Stage 4 to access learning and develop positive behaviour strategies.
• De-escalate situations calmly using restorative approaches and implement behaviour management techniques.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists and support staff to build trust and engagement with pupils.
• Provide regular feedback on pupil progress and wellbeing to staff and parents.
• Full-time hours: 8.15am – 3.30pm, Monday to Friday.
