Job summary

London South East Academies Trust is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor for our East Sussex Alternative Provision, to support students with SEMH needs and help them re-engage with education. This role is term-time only and involves one-to-one mentoring, pastoral support and implementing restorative approaches to behaviour.

You will build positive relationships with students, families and professionals, with the aim of improving attendance, wellbeing and long-term outcomes for vulnerable

Qualifications

• Has experience working with children and young people.
• Is passionate about inclusion and supporting vulnerable learners.
• Can build positive, professional relationships.
• Remains calm under pressure and uses restorative approaches.
• Believes every young person can succeed with the right support.

Responsibilities

• Providing one-to-one mentoring and pastoral support
• Supporting students to regulate emotions and make positive choices
• Improving attendance, engagement and wellbeing
• Building strong relationships with students, families and professionals
• Delivering targeted interventions and behaviour support
• Acting as a trusted adult and positive role model
