Job summary

Solace Women's Aid invites applications for a part-time Refuge Caseworker based at our Haringey Refuges to support women and children escaping domestic abuse. You will assess needs, conduct risk assessments, maintain records and coordinate housing, benefits and move-on arrangements, while participating in day-to-day refuge operations and safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Compassionate, practical and resilient, with a genuine commitment to supporting women and children affected by domestic abuse.
• Ability to adapt to a busy, changing environment and work independently, including periods of lone working.
• Experience in safeguarding, confidentiality, health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical and emotional support to residents escaping domestic abuse and assist with housing, benefits, referrals and move-on arrangements.
• Complete risk assessments and support plans and maintain accurate case records on OASIS.
• Contribute to day-to-day refuge operations, including health and safety checks and preparing rooms for new residents.
