Job summary

Northern Healthcare is seeking a Mental Health Support Worker to help residents build daily living skills, enjoy training and progression, and receive a comprehensive benefits package. The role starts at £12.91 per hour with enhanced overtime rates and full training and development support.

You will work at Radcliffe Lodge, Pudsey, Leeds, delivering personal care when needed and supporting residents in education, employment, and community activities, with focused wellbeing and recovery support.

Qualifications

• Level 2/3 Health & Social Care qualification or experience in care, support work, or mental health services.
• Experience supporting a family member, friend or individual with additional needs.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Two satisfactory references covering the last three years.
• Ability to complete an enhanced DBS check (paid for by us).

Responsibilities

• Develop daily living skills for residents.
• Prepare and cook meals.
• Manage appointments and medication.
• Handle budgeting and household tasks.
• Support residents in accessing education, employment, and community activities.
• Build confidence and independence.
• Support emotional wellbeing and recovery.
• Provide personal care support when required (training will be provided).
