Job summary

PK Education is recruiting a Learning Support Assistant in Wakefield for a position supporting students in a Specialist Learning Centre and mainstream classrooms.

The role is temporary and either part-time or full-time, term-time only, Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will have experience with EAL or SEND and be able to collaborate with teachers and parents to support learning.

Qualifications

• Recent experience supporting young people in an educational environment.
• Willing to work in a range of schools in the Wakefield area.
• Adhere to school policies and procedures and be willing to take lead from senior staff.

Responsibilities

• Support students in small groups and on a 121 basis in the Specialist Learning Centre and in main classrooms.
• Communicate effectively with parents, guardians and colleagues.
• Contribute to breaking down barriers to learning and support inclusive education.
