Job summary

Qualifications

• A good standard of education in English and Mathematics (C/4+).
• Experience supporting children in a classroom, including those with SEN.
• Experience using technology to support pupils in class.
• Knowledge of health, safety and safeguarding requirements in learning env.
• Ability to communicate clearly with pupils and relate to them.
• Ability to establish positive relationships with pupils and empathise.
• Ability to demonstrate active listening skills.
• Ability to implement behaviour management strategies effectively.
• Ability to provide individual attention and reassurance to pupils.
• Ability to give constructive feedback to reinforce self-esteem.
• Ability to work well as part of a school team and follow policies.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality on school matters.
• Willingness to assist pupils physically if required and undertake training.
