Job summary

St Richard's Church of England First School is seeking a dedicated SEN Learning Assistant to support pupils with special educational needs. The role focuses on interactive learning, differentiation, and collaboration with teaching staff to implement personalised plans.

The position is fixed-term, Monday to Wednesday, 16.5 hours per week, with duties including safeguarding, progress monitoring and contributing to an inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with students with SEN is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, compassionate and understanding approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualised support to pupils with SEN, focusing on learning needs.
• Utilise interactive learning techniques to enhance engagement.
• Collaborate with teachers to develop personalised learning plans.
• Assist in adapting teaching materials for varying abilities.
• Facilitate interactive learning activities in groups and one-to-one.
• Promote independence and social interaction among pupils with SEN.
• Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback.
