Job summary

Richard Challoner School invites applications for a Learning Support Assistant to join our Learning Support department. You will provide support and delivery of small-group teaching and 1:1 work for students with special educational needs across Key Stages 3–5, in collaboration with LS and teaching staff.

Term-time salary £20,500–£23,500 (37.6 weeks, 36 hours per week). Excellent communication, patience, flexibility and a good sense of humour are essential, along with the ability to work well

Qualifications

• Experience in supporting students with special educational needs.
• Ability to work with small groups and one-to-one support.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and delivery of small-group teaching and 1:1 work for students with SEND across Key Stages 3–5.
• Work with LS staff and teachers to assist inclusion and teaching of students with SEN.
• Develop subject-specific resources to support learning both in and outside the classroom.
• Mentor and track progress of students with SEND throughout the year.
