Job summary

Minstead Trust is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to provide person-centred support in the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole area. You will help individuals maintain their independence, support wellbeing and deliver one-to-one assistance within community settings.

The role requires a compassionate mindset, experience with learning disabilities, and the ability to manage a flexible workload. A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle are essential assets for this position.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people with learning disabilities and complex needs.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Calm and positive approach when faced with challenges.
• Confidence working independently and managing your own workload.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support to individuals within the local community, helping them achieve positive outcomes and independence.
• Support health, wellbeing and daily living activities tailored to individual needs.
• Deliver one-to-one support within community settings and act as a Key Worker.
• Maintain accurate records and reports.
• Work as part of a wider team to support people with learning disabilities.
• Promote dignity, choice and respect in all interactions.
