Job summary

Vetro Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Support Worker in Newquay to join a specialist residential service. You will contribute to creating a safe, nurturing environment for children and young people, helping them build confidence and independence while adhering to safeguarding standards.

The role offers full-time hours with shifts, including sleeps, in a committed team focused on Ofsted-aligned care and continuous staff development.

Qualifications

• No formal experience required.
• Must have compassion and patience.
• Willingness to learn safeguarding standards.

Responsibilities

• Support children and young people to feel safe, heard and valued in a residential setting.
• Encourage independence and personal development per care plans and safeguarding.
• Assist with activities that promote social, emotional, and behavioural development.
• Support shifts in a 24/7 environment, including sleep-ins.
