Job summary

Wilderness Way in the United Kingdom seeks compassionate Residential Support Workers to help children feel safe, valued and supported in our homes. You may work at Residential Support Worker or Senior Residential Support Worker level depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children, young people or vulnerable individuals in care, education or youth work.
• Willingness to pursue Level 3 qualification if not held.
• Be 21+ due to care requirements.
• Right to work in the UK; sponsorship not provided.

Responsibilities

• Build positive, trusting relationships with children.
• Create a safe, structured and nurturing home environment.
• Support children with education, health and wellbeing.
• Encourage independence, confidence and resilience.
• Help children access new experiences and opportunities.
• Support children to express wishes and feelings.
• Use trauma-informed approaches to support emotional wellbeing.
• Collaborate with Managers, Therapists and Multidisciplinary Teams to achieve positive outcomes.
