Job summary

Enham Trust is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to assist residents at Elizabeth House in Andover. You will provide person-centred support, help with daily activities, and promote independence, while building trusting relationships with residents and working with families and health professionals to ensure consistent, high-quality care.

Shifts run across a 7:00am–9:30pm window, five days a week, with a focus on dignity, respect, and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Good communication skills.
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
• Compassionate and patient disposition.
• Experience in care is welcome but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalised support with personal care and daily living activities, promoting dignity and independence.
• Build positive relationships with residents, understanding their needs and goals.
• Help residents develop life skills such as cooking, budgeting, and household tasks.
• Encourage access to community activities, education and social experiences.
• Act as Key Worker for allocated residents to support personal goals and independence.
• Support mobility and use of equipment as needed, ensuring safety.
• Maintain accurate records and share important updates for continuity of care.
