Job summary

Enham Trust in Andover, Hampshire, is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to deliver person-centred care to residents at Elizabeth House. The role focuses on independence, dignity, and wellbeing, with shifts across 7:00 to 21:30 and five days a week. You will build relationships and support daily living, skills, and community participation.

Applicants should be compassionate, patient, and enjoy teamwork. DBS check is required, and previous care experience is welcomed.

Qualifications

• Strong communication with residents, families and professionals.
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills for daily records.
• Compassionate, patient, and person-centred approach.
• Able to work as part of a supportive team and follow plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and daily living support, promoting dignity and independence.
• Build trusting relationships and understand residents' needs and goals.
• Help with life skills such as cooking, budgeting and shopping.
• Encourage participation in community activities and social experiences.
• Act as Key Worker for allocated residents and support their goals.
• Assist with mobility and care equipment, ensuring safety.
• Coordinate with families, health professionals and agencies.
• Follow support plans, risk assessments and behaviour strategies.
• Keep accurate records and share updates for continuity of care.
