Job summary

Delta Housing is seeking a Care and Support Assistant in Thundersley for a part-time role (30 hours per week). You will support individuals with daily living activities, promote independence and tenancy sustainment, and help them engage with the community in line with Delta Housing values.

The role requires QCF level 3 (or progress toward it), strong teamwork and excellent customer service, plus ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, families and professionals.

Qualifications

• QCF level 3 (or working towards this qualification).
• The ability to effectively both alone and as part of a team.
• Commitment to always delivering excellence in customer service.
• Basic understanding and promoting the needs, rights equality, and diversity of the people we support.
• The ability to communicate effectively orally, in writing, electronically with colleagues, interested other professionals and the people we support.

Responsibilities

• To support individuals with daily living activities, including personal care, tenancy sustainment goal setting and participation in meaningful activities.
• Contribute to the development implementation, monitoring and review of support plans to ensure they reflect individual needs, aspirations and outcomes.
• Ensure all support is delivered in accordance with organisational policies, procedures, legislative requirements, and safeguarding, health and safety standards.
• Support the safe operation of the service, including medication administration, appointment support, and completion of routine operational tasks.
• Communicate effectively with individuals, colleagues, families, and partner professionals to ensure coordinated and responsive support.
