Job summary

Yorkshire Pie Company in Leeds is seeking an experienced Employment Solicitor (6+ PQE) to join its respected Employment team. You will manage a varied caseload of respondent employment matters for clients across multiple sectors within an insurance-backed environment.

This role suits an ambitious solicitor aiming to progress, with opportunities for supervision and business development, plus a flexible hybrid working model and supportive culture.

Qualifications

• 6+ years' PQE in Employment law.
• Experience handling a varied and complex respondent Employment caseload.

Responsibilities

• Managing your own varied caseload of Employment matters, including complex and high-value claims.
• Advising and representing clients on a broad range of respondent Employment issues, including unfair dismissal, discrimination, TUPE and whistleblowing.
• Working within an insurance-backed litigation environment, advising on policy coverage and supporting insurers with claims handling.
• Delivering commercially focused, pragmatic legal advice to business clients across a range of sectors.
• Assisting colleagues on complex matters and collaborating across the wider business.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing your own varied caseload of Employment matters, including complex and high-value claims.
• Advising and representing clients on a broad range of respondent Employment issues, including unfair dismissal, discrimination, TUPE and whistleblowing.
• Working within an insurance-backed litigation environment, advising on policy coverage and supporting insurers with claims handling.

Applications are welcomed from Solicitors or Chartered Legal Executives who can demonstrate aminimum of 6 years' PQE in Employment law with strong experience managing a varied and complex respondent Employment caseload.

Experience working within an insurance-backed litigation environment would be advantageous, although candidates with strong respondent Employment experience are encouraged to apply.
