Job summary

Sellick Partnership is seeking an Employment Partner to join a highly regarded specialist Employment team in Manchester. You’ll manage a sophisticated portfolio of Employment work while building strong relationships with clients and professional referrers.

This is an excellent next step for an experienced Employment lawyer ready to lead, supervise junior lawyers, and contribute to the growth of the Manchester office.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Employment Law.
• Proven track record advising employers and/or senior employees.
• Experience supervising and mentoring junior lawyers.
• Commercially minded with a strong business development focus.
• Confident building long‑term client relationships.
• Excellent communication skills and sound judgement.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Employment Partner to join a highly regarded and specialist Employment team in Manchester.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Employment lawyer to take a leading role within a high-quality team, advising a diverse client base while helping to grow the practice and develop junior talent.

The Opportunity

You’ll manage a sophisticated portfolio of Employment work while building strong relationships with clients and professional referrers.

Your workload is likely to include:

• Employment Tribunal claims


• Complex and high-value employment disputes


• Senior executive matters


• Settlement agreements


• Disciplinary and grievance matters


• Redundancy and restructuring


• TUPE


• Employment contracts and policies


• Managing your own portfolio of clients


• Supervising, mentoring and developing junior lawyers


• Building and maintaining strong client and referrer relationships


• Contributing to business development and the continued growth of the Manchester office

About You

• Extensive experience in Employment Law


• Strong track record advising both employers and/or senior employees


• Technically confident across contentious and non-contentious Employment matters


• Experience supervising and mentoring junior lawyers
  
• Commercially minded with a strong business development focus


• Confident building long-term client and professional relationships


• Excellent communication skills and sound judgement


• Already operating at Partner level, or a Legal Director/Senior Associate ready for the next step
